Boston Globe's New Blog About Obnoxious Boston Sports Fans

The Boston Globe launched a new blog called the Obnoxious Boston Fan. Yes, you guess right. It's all about Boston sports, with a slant towards how obnoxious us fans can be as we follow the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox.

For those of us who are part of this heralded (and hated group), you'll love it. For those who aren't, you'll hate it.

Guess that's the point.

What do you get when you add 175,141 Water Balloons and 8,957 college kids?

No, not THAT type of party. More like a world record.

On August 26th, 2011, students from the University of Kentucky got together for a water balloon smack down. The video is well produced and brings in the energy that the students must have been feeling that night.

It looks like a fun, wet mess.

Obama Taking a Vacation: So What

Hate the media talk about whether or not Obama should take a vacation. Regardless of what side of the isle your on, you have to admit that being the President has to be the most stressful job in the world (or close to it).

So if the dude wants to take a few days with his family on the Cape, so be it. Give him some slack.

Sometimes It's Harder on the Parents

My oldest had to have two teeth pulled over the course of two weeks. The first time we went, I was a nervous wreck. I didn't know how well my kid would do with the shot, all the devices they use, etc.

Needless to say, she did fantastic with each one. The process is worse on the parents than it is on the kids. I didn't believe that to be true until I experienced it.

Today was the second extraction and I shot this with my iPad 2.

So You Don't Have an iPhone; Who F-ing Cares?

I'm an Apple fan boy. I'll admit to that. I have all the Apple toys and will always buy the latest and greatest when feasible. However, the latest round of commercials for the iPhone are a little bit much in my opinion.

The premise behind the spots are basically that if you don't have an iPhone, you suck. The latest one is talks about if you don't have an iPhone, you don't have the retina display so all your photos and videos suck. And oh, you don't have Facetime so you suck.

It's a bold campaign and while I agree that the iPhone is the most powerful mobile device on the market in terms of stability, scope of apps, battery power, etc. the campaign is a little bit not-Apple, if you know what I mean. And that's coming from a fanboy.
