Boston Globe's New Blog About Obnoxious Boston Sports Fans

Our united nation knows no boundaries Obnoxious Boston Fan Boston com

The Boston Globe launched a new blog called the Obnoxious Boston Fan. Yes, you guess right. It's all about Boston sports, with a slant towards how obnoxious us fans can be as we follow the Bruins, Celtics, Patriots and Red Sox.

For those of us who are part of this heralded (and hated group), you'll love it. For those who aren't, you'll hate it.

Guess that's the point.

Here's the intro from the fan himself:

Squarespace for Android

I love being able to blog and create content on the fly. My main weapon of choice is the iPhone 4. However, I do have a Samsung infused by AT&T. Its great phone but does have some issues with battery power.

I've been trying to do more on it to come around a bit, including blogging and creating content.

This post is written with the Android Squarespace app. I love the wide screen on the inFuse. It'll be nice when the iPhone 5 has more real estate.

The Squarespace app is pretty good. It is intuitive, fast and has a great UI.

If you have a Squarespace blog and Android, this will be your app of choice.

Sometimes You Need Side Projects

Cold Pizza Dudes talking about food brews and stogies

I've been blogging, tweeting, status updating, creating videos, etc. for quite some time. And, if you've been following along this magic journey you know that I have this love/hate relationship with social media. I get bored with it after a while. I need to keep things fresh and exciting in order for me to keep generating content, meet new people, try out new services, etc.

I was in one of those ruts a couple of days ago, but over the weekend I started a new side project with a few cool dudes in their own right.

Who Wants Cold Pizza?

Started a side project today called Cold Pizza. It's a blog for dudes, written by dudes and all about food, brwes and stogies (I'm sure there will be some other things sprinkled in there as well).

I'm looking for writers. If interested, email me at donmartelli at gmail.

Who doesn't like cold pizza?

I'm Writing Shorter Posts and Loving It

Small package jpg 431×278

If you visit this blog frequently, you'll notice that I'm writing a little more frequently as of late, posting lots of random stuff, but also posting shorter items.

I just don't have the time to think big these days. I can think about big concepts, but to be honest, there's no need to elaborate on the big ideas. Just get right to them. Get to the point. Don't bother with 1,000 word posts when I get to the point in 200 words.

I'm going to blame social media for this. It's much easier to digest content in about 15 seconds as opposed to 3 minutes. Yes, 15 seconds vs. three minutes.

That's the type of content digesting society we have these days.

As the saying goes; good things come in small packages.

Landed an Interview with Dogfish Head

DogfishIt's no secret that I'm a beer lover. In fact, I'm probably more like a beer snob. I don't drink the commercial domestic stuff. My beer fridge is packed with random goodness, mostly from microbreweries.

My fascination with microbrews has turned into an obsession. And, at the top of that obsession list is Dogfish Head.

For those of you still sucking back Buds, Dogfish Head is located in Rehoboth Beach, DE and its motto is "Off-centered ales for off-centered people."

The brews aren't for lighthearted beer drinkers. They are packed with flavor, hops and overall beer goodness (not to mention fairly a high APV.)

I've tried just about every single Dogfish flavor available in the Greater Boston market. I'm so obsessed that I have a couple of Dogfish glasses and some DF gear on the way (office stuff and some other things).

So today, when I got the confirmation that I am going to interview Sam Calagione, the founder of Dogfish Head beer, I felt like a kid on Christmas morning.

Let's Be Full of C.R.A.P.

Social media geeks need to be full of C.R.A.P.Social media has introduced me to a number of cool and wikked smahht people and I love when those worlds collide. This is the case with Fiona Bryan aka "Bantering Blonde" and Chris Brogan.

As Fiona points out, Chris talks about C.R.A.P. all the time:
